Clicking on the > on the bottom of the information slide will show the percentage of the population in that neighborhood that is living under the poverty level and the area’s median income in relation to the median family income in the Tri-State Metro area. This information comes from American Community Survey conducted by the US Census from 2016 to 2020.
Red areas of the map indicate where a significant portion of the population live under the poverty level.
Yellow areas of the map either indicate areas where there is a low number of the population living under the poverty level, or there is not enough data to determine this information (public parks for instance). Note: $250,000 is the maximum salary amount, median income values in our map may be lower than expected.
